ANALYSIS REPORT

Embarking on the semester's maiden assignment was an exciting group project that delved into the preservation of historical architectural gems. Our task involved the meticulous recording, documentation, and analysis of a significant building to contribute to the preservation of its historical legacy. The architectural gem assigned to our group was none other than The Sultan Abdul Samad Building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia—a captivating structure steeped in historical significance. This project not only refined our observational and analytical skills but also instilled a sense of responsibility in safeguarding the rich heritage encapsulated within the walls of this iconic building. Through this endeavor, we became active contributors to the conservation of valuable historical architecture, bridging the past with the present for future generations to appreciate.

In this assignment, we were entrusted with not one, but two intriguing tasks. Initially, we delved into the world of architectural exploration, conducting thorough research and analysis on a selected building. Our findings were then meticulously curated into a visually engaging A4 digital booklet.

But that was just the beginning. The second task beckoned us to transcend the ordinary, compiling all our insights into a comprehensive A1 poster. The challenge? Infuse it with the magic of Augmented Reality, turning static information into an interactive journey. The grand finale? Showcasing our understanding of historical periods and their architectural representations—an outcome that promises a profound exploration of the evolution of structures through time.

With the assignment unveiled on the 27th of September 2023 and the due date set for the 8th of November 2023, this project became more than a task; it evolved into a captivating expedition through the realms of architectural history and technology.

REFLECTION

In conclusion, I enjoyed the journey of this assignment. It was a great experience working with my teammates. We created a lot of memories together and also gained more knowledge on The Abdul Samad Building. I got the best team I could ever ask for which I am very thankful for. This project also taught me how to produce  a quality of work and the initiative taken to do this assignment successfully. Our lecturer and tutor was very helpful to us. During every progress check meeting they will correct our work and give their opinion so that we can improve our work. The TGC (Taylor's Graduate Capabilities) I applied in this project is TGC 4.0 (Lifelong learning) as my teammates and I learned a lot of new things that will be helpful for our future undertakings as an architect. Besides we also learned the ability to demonstrate professional competence through acquisition, comprehension and application of knowledge and skills through this project.
